Graphic artist. Born in June 20, 1897 in the town of Libava (now
Liyepaya), Latvia - died in July 19, 1957 in the city of Kharkiv. Graduated from Kharkiv
Art Institute (1922-30), teachers I.Padalka, S.Prokhorov, M.Sharonov. Member of KhB UAU
from 1939. Participant in Republican, All-Union and International exhibitions from 1927.
Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1956, 1997. Was a teacher at Kharkiv Art School (1930-33),
Director of Art studio at Kharkiv Palace of Pioneers (1938-41; 1944-46), teacher at
Kharkiv I. Yu. Repin Art School for Children (1946-47), KhSAI (1947-50). |
