Painter, graphic artist. Honoured Worker of Art of Ukraine
(from 1966). Born in June 18,1915 in the town of Starobilsk, now Luhansk region — died
in October 24,1992 in the city of Kharkiv. Took part in the WWII. Graduated from Kharkiv
Art College (1934-37), Kharkiv Art Institute (1937-42), teachers M.Kozyk, O.Kokel,
M.Samokysh. Member of KhB UAU from 1943. Participant in Republican, All-Union and
International exhibitions from 1945. Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1944,1952,1957 - 59,
1965-68,1982,1993; Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Odesa - 1957-59,1965-68; Sumy
-1965-68, town of Starobilsk - 1977. Worked as Director of KhSAS (1944-47), was a teacher
at KhSAI (1947-63) and KhAII (since 1963), Ass.professor (since 1961), professor (since
1977). |
