  Art critic, painter. Born in March 10,1893 in the vil. of Kustolevo, now Poltava region — died in October 4,1976 in the city of Kharkiv. Graduated from Kyiv Art School (1909-13) and studied at the Petersburg Academy of Arts (1913-14). Member of KhB UAU from 1939. Worked as the Director of Kharkiv Art Institute (1932-34) and the Ukrainian State Picture Gallery (1934-42).
