Severyn Ivan Mytrofanovych


	Painter. Born in September 23, 1881 in the vil. of Ostapivka, now Polatava region - died in February 20, 1964 in the city of Kyiv. Studied at Myrhorod Art Industrial School, the Kharkiv Painting and Art School (1903-05), the Krakiv Academy of Fine Arts (1905-07), teachers Ya.Stanislovsky and S.Vyspiansky, the Rome Academy of Arts (1907), the Prague Academy of Arts (1908; 1912-13). Member of KhB UAU from 1956. Participant in Republican, All-Union and International exhibitions from 1927. Personal exhibition: Kyiv - 1911. Was a teacher at Kharkiv Art School-Kharkiv Art Institute (1924-32).
