Painter, graphic artist. People's artist of Ukraine (since 1974). Born in
July 23,1918 in the town of Barnaul, Altai territory. Took part in the WWII. Graduated
from KhSAI (1940-41; 1945-49), teachers S.Prokhorov, O.Kokel, B Hershoyh. Member of KhB
UAU since 1953, headed Administration of KhB UAU (1953-87), member of Presidium, Secretary
of Administration of Union of Artists of Ukraine (1956-87), Head of CRC UA of USSR
(1963-87), Deputy-chief of Administration of AF USSR (1963-87). Participant in Republican,
All-Union, International and foreign exhibitions since 1949. Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv
- 1965; Poltava - 1965; Moscow - 1966. Works at KhAII (since 1949), professor (since
