Zhyzhemsky Volodymyr Mykhailovych

 
     
  Arts and crafts artist (ceramic). Born in December 3, 1923 in the town of Sverdlovsk, now Yekaterynburg — died in August 26,1994 in the city of Kharkiv. Took part in the WWII military actions. Graduated from Sverdlovsk Art School (1934-41; 1948-50), Moscow Institute of Arts and Crafts (1951-52), Leninhrad V. H. Mukhina Higher Art Industrial School (1952-57), teachers V.Markov, B.Smyrnov. Member of KhB UAU from 1960. Participant in Republican, Ail-Union and International exhibitions from 1957. Was a teacher at KhAII (from 1963). Worked as an artist at Budy faience factory (1957—61), worked in the laboratory of Kharkiv Tile factory (1973-75).
