Art critic. Born in December 16, 1952 in the vil. of Pry-stin Kharkiv
region. Graduated from Kharkiv's O. M. Horky State University (1970-75), I. Yu. Repin
Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture' AA USSR (1980-86; Leninhrad), teachers
A.Punin, V.Black, H.Pavlov, B.Fedorov, Ts.Nesselshtraus and a post-graduate course at
KhAII (1991-95). Member of the Creative Association of Art Critics and Art Historians of
CIS countries since 1992. Organizer and compiler of scientific-practical conferences'
materials of the Kharkiv Art Museum dedicated to the 150th birthday anniversary of I. Yu.
Repin (1994), the 110th anniversary of the Kharkiv town Art Industrial Museum (1996).
Works at the Kharkiv Art Museum (since 1979), Head of pre-revolutionary art section
(1995). Has been published since 1985. Author of art critical works on artistic life of
Kharkiv of the second half - first third of the XXth century, creative work of some
artists of Kharkiv modern artistic life, numerous science-popular TV programs. |
