Theatre artist. Honoured Worker of Art of Ukraine (from 1953). Born in
January 30,1906 in the town of Kobelyaky, now Poltava region - died in September 14,1967
in the city of Kharkiv. Graduated from Kharkiv Art Institute (1926-30), teachers
O.Khvostenko-Khvostov, M.Burachek. Member of KhB UAU from 1947. Participant in Republican
and All-Union exhibitions from 1948. Personal exhibition: Kharkiv - 1972. Worked as an
artist at the 1st State Theatre for Children (1930-32), The Kharkiv T. Shevchenko Academic
Ukrainian Drama Theatre (from 1933), its Chief Artist (1944-67). Laureate of the State
Prize of the USSR (from 1948). |
