Painter, graphic artist, monumentalist, artist-designer. Born in March 22,
1894 in the city of Kharkiv — died in January 6, 1968 in the same place. Studied at
Kharkiv arts and crafts workshop of ornamental art of L.Trakal (1905-09), Kharkiv Art
School (1910-11), teacher M.Fedorov; Ye.Steinberg 's and O.Hrot's private studio
(1913—14), Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1913), studios of
I.Mashkov and P.Konchalovsky (1912-13; Moscow). Member of Association of Revolutionary Art
of Ukraine (1920th), KhB UAU from 1939. Participant in exhibitions from 1909,
International from 1928. Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1963, 1969, 1994. Worked at
Kharkiv Art College (1921-22), KhAI (1922-35; 1963-67). |
