The Lenin Prize laureate, theorist in physics, Academician of Academy of Science of the USSR and of Academy of Science of Ukrainian SSR. He worked at the Institute of Physics and Technology of AS of Ukraine in Kharkov, then since 1968  - at the Institute of Physical Problems of AS of the USSR. Academisian I.V.Obreimov said about him: "If it would be expressed so, he has the Mozart stile in physics: namely, it appeares as lightness at first sight, which hides the colossal command of  technics".
